This blog is called The Masterwork Guild, after the D&D [Dungeons and Dragons] 'Masterwork' prefix to denote items of exceptional quality. Pretentious or what!
I really like the old style citadel miniatures. Here's my 80's/90's Wood Elf Army. There's a few more units now but I'll do a proper photo session with the whole army soon...
Was pottering about on your blog after your kind offer for reinforcements for the chaps over at the Wyemm Seeyay. Then I noticed that your location is currently Guildford.
Which means, that as the owner of some lovely classical miniatures (enough to make a considerable Wood Elf army for 3rd ed), you are the closest player in the world to me who knows about "the good ol' days" and has the figures to prove it.
So heres a question - do you still play older versions of Warhammer (3rd ed, by any chance)? Or is this force just used for Warhammer 8? Further to that, do you participate at a club where the older forms of the art are practiced?
I've love to know and possibly engage this force on day. But, rather than arrange that on blogs, I wonder if you would email me your answers. You can get me on gaj AT mogul DOT co DOT za. Let me know, I'd love to hear back.
