How appropriate. This blog has been a bit quiet of late. But as the saying goes "Its not dead... Its just sleeping..." ;)
These fellows are definitely dead though. I've been painting up a few units for my Warhammer 3rd edition Undead army. I didn't have any mummies, and the prices on ebay for citadel lead were well, quite frankly just silly!
Therefore I decided to have a look around. I found thebattleforge.co.uk and bought this unit of 10 Oldhammer-esque mummies and painted them up in a jiffy...
I'm almost finished with a couple of skull chuckers so hopefully I can update my Undead army shot soon...
Next up are some Orcsies, If anyone recognises who produces these please leave a message! I cant for the life of me remember where I got these guys from. But I do like their style and I experimented on the bases and painted them up with some colourful shrooms, using some Foundry paints that I picked up at Salute. The Foundry paints are really rather good.
The next four orcs are almost complete and I shall probably be using this set as my default D&D 'stand in' goblinoid bad guys, as they could be goblins, orcs, hobgoblins...
Well I hope the pics have come out ok. Its been a long time since I had some painted figures to take pictures off, I had kind of forgotten how to use my camera! These pictures are using my laptop screen as a backdrop.

These are all so great! I am jealous beyond what you would believe over that mummy unit!
The easiest 800 point unit I have ever painted! thanks adeptgamer!
Very nice. The orc/goblin miniatures are from Artizan Miniatures - their Midnight Workshop range. Similar in style are the Northumbrian Tin Soldier range.
Thanks Horny God! They are a nice change from most current orcs out there today. I'll have to investigate the Northumbrian Tin Soldier range too!
